A record you bought at a concert

I saw Inter Arma open for Pallbearer on July 24, 2024 at my favorite Bay Area venue, The Great American Music Hall. I had seen them the year before open for Full of Hell at the same venue and the music just did not make sense to me. It was my first true introduction to the band, and I found the songs long and boring. However, I began digging into their back catalog after some friends clowned me for my take on their performance, one even saying "they are the heaviest band to walk the earth right now." Needless to say, it finally clicked and I fell in love with their entire catalog. By the time they came back the next year, I was ready. I approached the merch table, said hi to the vocalist working it and proceeded to buy every record he had. Paradise Gallows is probably my favorite of the records I bought that night. The music and artwork are incredible. Once I knew the music, the performance truly blew me away. Every member of the band is a master at their craft and I could watch the drummer play forever. Truly a special band that took me some time to appreciate, as many great bands do.
