Empire State Games began roughly in late 1996, and broke up in November of 1998. During their two year stint they released three 7"s - the 'white' 7" (Old Skool), the yellow 7" (Makoto), and a split 7" with King For A Day (Old Skool), as well as a CDep (Makoto). From word of mouth, and the strength of their releases and live show, ESG quickly became a force in the independent music scene.
