His Hero Is Gone Formed in the mid 1990's featuring Todd Burdette, who played guitar in one of the last stages of Memphis's Copout, His brother Paul Burdette who had previously played drums in Face Down, Carl Auge' who had played bass in popular Memphis band Man With Gun Lives here, and Pat Davis on Second guitar. They recorded a lo-fi demo and were invited to come to California to record when the prank records Copout LP imploded. They played the Slap-A-Ham Fiesta Grande as a last minute addition the night before recording their first 7". They toured incessantly afterwards and recorded and released their first LP by the end of that year. Shortly afterwards Pat Davis left the band and was replaced by Union Of Uranus guitarrist Yannick Lorrain. This Streamlined the sound and they followed quickly with a second LP and European tour. They toured Japan in 1997 and released a third and final LP-projected split releases with Counterblast and Howard Zinn were never recorded, before breaking up onstage in Memphis in 1998. Paul Burdette and Todd Burdette went onto to Form Tragedy ( with Yannick Lorrain) as well as play in Deathreat, Call The Police, Criminal Damage, Warcry, Funeral, Severed Head of State. Carl Auge' who painted and designed much of the bands artwork is now a gallery artist and played in Dimlaia, Hell After Dark and Drain The Sky.
