I remember when Rolling Stone first reviewed this album, they dogged it. Later after its success it was re-reviewed to a more positive light. I never really cared for Rolling Stone. It just wasn't my cup of tea. I had found Nothing Shocking maybe a year before this was released and felt like it was my generations Led Zeppelin. When Ritual came out, it felt like something else. It had a wild and upbeat beginning. Frantic and carefree. But it was the second half was deeper and more thought out. Every instrument like its own voice you could follow and hum afterwards. Three Days and Then She Did became my security blanket to help me cope with shit teenagers go through. Still my go to when days are rough.
