Now with 120 albums in its catalog, fiercely independent DEEP ELM RECORDS continues to build a better label - one that operates on principles other than the pursuit of profit. We see our label being about people coming together, meeting, singing and sharing that experience with each other...those are the times that we remember forever. It's about the power of music and the bands that create it. Founded on respect for music and the creative process, a goal of discovering and developing new artists and undying integrity in everything we do, Deep Elm strives to further its reputation as one of the world's most reliable sources of quality independent releases.

Deep Elm is responsible for seminal releases by The Appleseed Cast, Brandtson, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Benton Falls, Last Days Of April and most recently Desoto Jones, Dartz!, Ride Your Bike, Track A Tiger, Latterman, Sounds Like Violence, Clair De Lune, Fightstar, Free Diamonds and Small Arms Dealer. Deep Elm is also well known for its two compilation series: The Emo Diaries (11 CDs with 147 unreleased songs) featuring Jimmy Eat World and This Is Indie Rock (3 CDs with 36 unreleased songs).

A small but dedicated team provide all label services on an in-house, DIY basis including mail order, publicity, marketing, radio and tour promotion, street team, graphic design and all internet operations. From ownership to distribution, Deep Elm is 100% independent and intends to stay that way.
