âInto the Unknownâ by Bad religion - 1983
If you know Bad Religion, youâll understand why I chose this one. I wasnât alive when it came out but Iâm sure the people who grabbed it when it came out were probably like âwtf?!!â
They went in a weird direction after their debut, people apparently hated it, they broke up, they disassociated themselves from the album, only playing some of the material in recent shows, have never repressed it except for the box set, then came back 5 years later with probably the fasted punk album they couldâve conjured.
Is it a good album? I mean⌠you tell me. Is it a good Bad Religion album? Definitely no. But as a snapshot in music history, and a young band trying something, new itâs pretty rad and Iâm glad I have an original copy still in the shrink. 5/10.
