The red first pressing ended up having two different colors due to an unintentional manufacturing variation. The color can vary from an opaque red with black smoke to a translucent orange with black and red smoke. When the album was first available for preorder, this version was advertised as a red variant limited to 1,200 copies. During the preorder time frame, Hopeless Records increased the pressing quantity to 3,000. The result was an extra 1,800 copies that varied in color from the first 1,200. Those that preordered generally received a vinyl record that was opaque red in appearance. Others that purchased the red first pressing in brick and mortar stores, pop up shops, merch tables, and even a few of the preorder customers received a vinyl record that was translucent orange in appearance. These same red variants were used to create the record release show and pop up shop variants.

The dark blue variant was originally limited to /600. However, these copies were the first to make it to fans’ homes. People found issues with the pressing and many people returned them to the label for replacement copies. The copies sent back to the label were destroyed. The issues were found to ultimately affect all variants of this first pressing.

The pop up shop variant was sold at the Glamour Kills x The Wonder Years Pop Up Shop at 307 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA from 05/14/2012 - 05/17/2013. Includes pop-up shop exclusive slip cover.
