The mellow arrangements and Nilsson's sweeter-than-honey delivery make this the perfect album to rouse me into consciousness on a hazy summer morning like today. Interesting selection of songs, including a track he wrote on spec for the film Midnight Cowboy in the style of his hit cover of Fred Neil's Everybody's Talkin -- I Guess The Lord Must Be In New York City. Schlesinger decided to use the original cover anyway so this became an oddball album track instead.
