Vinyl Challenge: A record perfect for a cookout

I grew up in a house often filled with The Beatles or Country Music. Country is what would play when the grill was fired up and the water was beginning to boil. We didn't wash up for dinner, we warshed up.

I chose Loretta Lynn's Greatest Hits Vol. II for my cookout. She's the Queen of Country Music. She's the bad ass song writer from Butcher Holler. Don't mess with Loretta.

Stand out songs: Coal Miner's Daughter, I Wanna Be Free, Fist City, and One's On The Way.

This album is no joke and also it kinda it is. If you start your day with Kermit singing Rainbow Connection it's a good day.

I love The Muppets so my opinion might be tainted but I would put this album up against any popular album. Don't sleep on The Muppets wake up and get Movin' Right Along.

P.S. Dr. Teeth & The Electric Mayhem is the coolest band name ever!

"I Will Dare" is the great opening track from The Replacements album, Let It Be. It demonstrates the new direction The Mats were taking. It features a guitar solo from friend Peter Buck (R.E.M.). Great track from an incredible album.

I love the line "How young are you? How old am I? Let's count the rings around my eyes"
